RB is a global leader in Consumer Health, Hygiene and Home products and our vision is to create healthier lives and happier homes through our product innovations. Consumer safety and compliance with regulatory requirements are fundamental to the integrity of our brands and business and to sound and ethical business practices. RB is committed to eliminating animal testing of our products as far as possible, applying the principles of ‘3Rs’ (Reduce, Refine & Replace) and using non-animal approaches to ensure the safety of RB products wherever feasible.
RB products must comply with the regulations in countries where they are marketed, and this may on limited occasions require animal studies to support the safety or efficacy of certain ingredients and/or products. It is our policy not to conduct or commission tests unless required by government agencies or where RB is ethically obliged to ensure the safety and efficacy of our infant nutrition products.
This Policy applies to all employees of RB companies globally, members of RB’s Board and RB’s contractors when acting on RB’s behalf.
We work with industry associations and government bodies to apply the industry’s ‘3Rs’ best practice. Through these collaborations we drive the development and regulatory acceptance of alternatives to animal testing. Whenever RB is required to conduct animal testing we seek to minimise the number of animals used and ensure we only use accredited and certified third-party facilities that fully comply with animal welfare guidelines.

RB’s pest control business plays a key role in public health management and in support of this limited tests on rodents and insects may be conducted to confirm the efficacy of innovative pest control products.
