This means buying from sources that protect the environment and do not cause deforestation, respect human rights and safeguard the health and safety of workers. Through entrepreneurship and creativity, our supply chain partners and the communities they serve can become more sustainable.
Our approach is based on understanding and managing the risks in our supply chain. We work closely with suppliers and third-party partners to benefit workers, communities and ecosystems.
We have a robust policy and standards framework and have built strong relationships with our suppliers. Traceability is also vital – knowing the origin of our materials is key to understanding the challenges and then building mutually beneficial solutions.
Our responsible sourcing policy clearly sets out the minimum standards demanded of our suppliers. The policy has been value-checked by Earthworm (formally The Forest Trust) and meets or exceeds the levels they set.
You can read more about our approach to responsible sourcing, along with detail on the challenges specific to different raw materials, in our ‘Responsible sourcing’ Insight.
