It’s our duty to keep all our colleagues and managed staff safe and healthy at work, by minimising their exposure to risks and providing training, education and encouragement where it is needed. We strive to create a work environment in which safety is put first, wherever people work, from our research facilities through to manufacturing sites, warehouses and commercial offices.
We achieve this by ensuring our facilities and people comply with applicable health & safety legal requirements, implementing continual improvements to our health and safety control arrangements and setting proactive leading targets for a healthier and safer workplace.
Our safety goals and progress
*Excluding recently acquired sites in 2017
By fostering a culture of health & safety at work, we believe we can continue to reduce the number of incidents that occur. We perform safety culture assessments to build an understanding of how colleagues perceive and engage health & safety and we have continued to strengthen our health & safety teams. Our standards help everyone understand what they need to do to ensure the safety of our people.
More about our approach to health & safety, establishing a health & safety culture, and information on our Accident Rates can be found in our ‘Health & safety’ Insight.
Safety standards workshop
A health & safety workshop was organised in Gurugram with the aim to share and learn the best practices being deployed at all RB manufacturing sites in South Asia region, understanding the current and upcoming environment, health & safety (EHS) challenges. Each day, various sessions were organised to facilitate implementation of global H&S standards with the involvement of industry experts.
