4 June 2020 – Reckitt Benckiser Group plc (“RB”) today announces the appointment of Sami Naffakh, effective 1 July, as Chief Supply Officer (CSO) and member of the Company’s Executive Committee.
Sami brings to RB more than 25 years of broad international leadership experience in fast moving consumer goods (FCMG) companies such as Unilever, Danone and Estee Lauder – as well as RB where he held several leadership positions from 2003 to 2009. His in-depth knowledge and expertise of production in the infant nutrition and dairy sectors includes his recent position at Arla Foods, the Danish farmer-owned dairy cooperative where he was Executive Vice President and headed up supply chain operations globally.
Sami’s broad experience included managing Arla’s manufacturing and logistics operations worldwide, global procurement of goods and services, as well as support functions such as quality and food safety, health and safety, and sustainability. In addition, he led a major transformation of its supply chain from farm to retailer, with the goal of increasing competitiveness, agility and sustainability to quickly adapt to evolving consumer trends and customer requirements.
Laxman Narasimhan, Chief Executive Officer, commented: “I’m very pleased that Sami has decided to rejoin RB at this pivotal time for our company. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, the global supply chain teams have worked tirelessly to step up for our consumers and our customers. As we continue to ‘navigate our new normal’, we must also start to focus on our medium-to-longer-term supply needs across the entire, diverse portfolio. We will build on our momentum and invest to create a highly capable, global supply function to meet our strategic ambition of transforming the business and positioning RB for sustainable growth.”
