It takes a lot of drive to become a household name
UK Sales and Marketing Graduate Programme (FMCG)
Could you bring your drive to Durex? Va-va-voom to Vanish? Get-up-and-go to Gaviscon? Then why not make a name for yourself in the exciting world of FMCG?
One year in Sales and one in Marketing – our programme gives you maximum exposure to our global business. You’ll work on some of the biggest brands and customer accounts in the world. Brands like Dettol, Durex, Clearasil, Finish and Veet. At the same time, you’ll take ownership of high-profile projects and gain real recognition for your results.
It won’t be easy – and this programme isn’t for everyone. We operate in a tough, competitive sector where margins are tight and expectations are high. You’ll need to be assertive. You’ll need to be brave. You’ll need to take calculated risks. But above all, you’ll need to be driven to deliver results. If that’s you, there could be a highly successful future for you at Reckitt Benckiser.
Your year in Sales
Working on big budget projects from the outset, you’ll start as a Sales Executive tasked with looking after business plans, devising promotional sales strategies and managing relationships with our key customers.
Your year in Marketing
From the minute you lay eyes on our market-leading brands, we’ll expect you to deliver creative ideas on a range of campaigns. You’ll look after digital marketing, PR, in-store promotions, new product launches, packaging... and everything in between.
Your opportunity to travel
As a global business, we want you to think about the bigger picture. So if you speak another language fluently, the opportunity exists for you to take a placement in Europe in your second year. It’s a great way to experience life in a different country and learn about the international dimension of our business. If you don’t get the opportunity to take a placement during the programme, don’t forget we pride ourselves in international careers.
Your opportunity to shine
Once your four-week induction is complete, you’ll hit the ground running. You’ll find yourself working on one of our 19 powerbrands or customer accounts and making a real contribution. The stakes will be high, but you’ll have the opportunity to shine. In our business, the next big idea can come from anywhere and anyone. And it’s not unusual for us to bring these ideas to market in less than a year – something that’s almost unheard of in our industry.
Your opportunity to progress
Put the two years together and you’ll have the perfect platform to launch a lasting career here. We see investment in our graduates as a key objective. In addition to formal training, you’ll learn on the job from your managers, mentor and from a wide range of inspirational colleagues. On completing the programme, we’ll work closely with you to scope out your career. Then it’s time to continue to impress us with your performance. Results are the way you’ll make a name for yourself.
