To be eligible to enter, entrants must visit www.rb.com/australia-new-zealand, follow the prompts to the Turbo Racer competition entry page, participate in the online game Turbo Racer, register their details and post their score(s) on the competition webpage.
Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these conditions of entry. Submission of an entry is deemed acceptance of these conditions of entry.
Entry is only open to Australian residents.
If an entrant is under the age of 18 they must obtain prior consent from their parent or legal guardian to enter and the parent or legal guardian may be required to verify the granting of consent and/or sign a release at the discretion of the Promoter. Failure of an entrant’s parent or legal guardian to verify consent and/or sign a release under this clause 3 will invalidate all of the entrant’s entries.
Employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter, participating retailers and agencies associated with this competition are ineligible to enter.
Competition commences 12.01AM AEST on 1 August 2011. Entries close and entrants’ details and highest score must be received by 11.59PM AEST on 16 September 2011. This is a game of skill and chance plays no part in the determination of the winner. The entrant with the highest score will win one Apple iPad2 Wi-Fi 16GB Black valued at $579.
In the event that two or more entrants have the highest score, the winner will be the entrant who completes the game in the quickest time.
The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity and address) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these conditions of entry, who tampers with the entry process or who submits and entry that the Promoter, in its sole discretion, deems to be offensive, inappropriate, defamatory or otherwise not in keeping with the spirit of the competition. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
Incomplete, indecipherable, illegible or inaudible entries will be deemed invalid.
Any incorrect details submitted may render the corresponding entry invalid.
Entrants may submit more than one entry but each entry must be submitted separately and in accordance with these conditions of entry.
If there is a dispute as to the identity of an entrant, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine the identity of the entrant.
The winner will be notified by telephone and email and their name will be published on www.rb.com/australia-new-zealand.
The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
If the winner is under the age of 18 years, the prize will be awarded to the winner's nominated parent or guardian.
The prize will be forwarded to the winner within 28 days of the winner being notified in accordance with clause 12.
If for any reason whatsoever a prize winner does not take a prize or an element of the prize by the time stipulated by the Promoter, then the prize or that element of the prize will be forfeited by the prize winner and cash will not be awarded in lieu.
If a prize (or part of any prize) is unavailable, the Promoter, in its discretion, reserves the right to substitute the prize (or that part of the prize) with an alternative prize to the equal value and/or specification, unless to do so would be prohibited by law.
If for any reason whatsoever beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, the competition is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, unless to do so would be prohibited by law, to (a) disqualify any entrant; and/or (b) to cancel, suspend, modify, terminate or cancel the competition.
Unless expressly stated within these conditions of entry regarding all prizes, all other expenses become the responsibility of the winner.
Total prize pool value is up to $579.00.
Prize is not transferable or exchangeable and is not redeemable for cash.
Any costs associated with accessing the promotional website is the entrant’s responsibility and is dependent on the Internet service provider used.
The use of any automated entry software or any other mechanical or electronic means that allows an entrant to automatically enter repeatedly is prohibited and will render all entries submitted by that entrant invalid.
The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any tax implications that may arise from the prize winnings. Independent financial advice should be sought.
Nothing in these conditions of entry limits, excludes or modifies or purports to limit, exclude or modify any statutory consumer guarantees or any implied condition or warranty the exclusion of which from these conditions of entry would contravene any statute or cause any part of these conditions of entry to be void (“Non-Excludable Guarantees”). Subject to the limitations in the preceding sentence, the Promoter excludes from these conditions of entry all conditions, warranties and terms implied by statute, general law or custom. Except for liability in relation to a Non Excludable Guarantee, the Promoter (including its officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability whether arising in tort (including without limitation negligence), contract or otherwise for any personal injury or any other loss or damage (including without limitation loss of opportunity or loss of profits) whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the competition, including, without limitation, the following: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in prize value to that stated in these conditions of entry; (e) any tax implications; and/or (f) a prize or use of a prize.
The Promoter collects personal information in order to conduct the Promotion. Entrants’ personal information will only be used for this purpose and the Promoter may, for this purpose, disclose such information to third parties, including, but not limited to, prize suppliers and for any purpose required by any regulatory authority. Entry is conditional on providing this information. Entrants should direct any request to access, update or correct information to the Promoter. All entries become the property of the Promoter.
