Our betterbusiness strategy responds to the complex challenge the world faces. We are focusing on where we can make the biggest difference: the need for better hygiene, water scarcity, rising temperatures and energy demand and the relationship between these issues and our business.

RB joins Global 100 Index

RB has ranked 7th in the Corporate Knights Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World (Global 100) Index. RB has also ranked highest amongst the 11 UK companies in this year’s index. This is RB’s first time on the Global 100, one of the world's leading sustainability indices for global equity investors. RB performed particularly well against its peers in the household products industry on energy, carbon, water and waste productivity.

CEO Rakesh Kapoor said: “I’m proud of the progress we’ve made since launching our betterbusiness sustainability strategy two years ago. Our ranking in the Global 100 is the result of the drive of our people to outperform on our ambitious environment targets as they do in every aspect of our business.”

RB joins Dow Jones Sustainability World Index

Dow Jones sustainability indices
RB has been named as the sustainability leader in its industry by the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI). RB is added to the global financial index after just one year on the European Index. The company was named leader of the Household Products industry and earned ‘industry best’ scores for the broad economic and environmental dimensions.

RB joins The Sustainability Consortium

We joined The Sustainability Consortium in September 2012. We will work with the group and their members (including many of our peers and customers) on a common way to assess more sustainable innovations, in line with our lifecycle approach.
