Assessment process

Assessment process

There’s a well-structured route to joining us as a graduate. It’s been carefully designed to ensure you’re right for us and we’re right for you. The whole process is divided into three phases that begin with your initial application. You need to be successful in each phase to move on to the next.

Phase one: initial screening

Once your application is received it’s carefully screened against a number of key criteria (your academic achievements, for example) and our core values. We’ll make a rigorous evaluation of your intellectual capabilities and your potential for successful cultural fit within our organisation, based on the details in your application. You might also be invited to take part in a telephone interview at this stage, which will allow us to gain greater insight into the information you’ve provided.

Phase two: structured assessment

This is the first time you’ll meet people from Reckitt Benckiser, and you may well be taking part in a group assessment with other graduates. The assessment will include a structured interview and a recognised numerical reasoning test, plus at least one additional assessment activity - possibly a group exercise. You’ll also have the chance to chat informally with assessors over lunch, coffee or an evening meal.

Expect the assessment to reflect the kinds of pressures you’ll face in a real RB role. All activities are designed to be insightful, interesting and stretching. After the assessment, there’ll be the opportunity to learn about our feedback mechanism, making sure that you benefit from the experience whatever the outcome.

Phase three: final assessment

This is normally a second meeting, with different assessors. You should see it as more of an introduction to Reckitt Benckiser than a formal assessment. It’s a chance for you to meet your potential line manager and colleagues and see your future work setting. It’s also the time to ask questions you may have had from the previous assessment.
