Continual innovation in one of our most diverse markets

Our locations in this region

Diversity characterises our operations across Africa and in the Middle East (AME). We cover a wide spectrum of markets including South Africa, the GCC countries, Egypt, Nigeria, Kenya and Pakistan amongst others. Our people are recruited across 12 different countries - from South Africa, with its 11 official languages to UAE, one of the world’s youngest countries. The region has hubs in Dubai, Karachi, Johannesburg, Nairobi and Lagos. We also have manufacturing facilities in South Africa, Nigeria and Pakistan as well as an R&D facility located in South Africa. Sales offices are located throughout the region.

What do we do?

Every Reckitt Benckiser business function is represented here. Our strategy for growth centres on innovation - we usually launch a new format or brand every month in one or more of our markets. Alongside innovation, our focus on sales, marketing and supply chain ensures fast results. There’s a wide range of product portfolios across the different countries, but our Powerbrands Dettol and Mortein are the leaders in most markets in which they have a presence. Other major brands in the region are Veet, Strepsils, Harpic and Disprin. We offer careers across all business functions, but particularly in brand management, key accounts, trade marketing and supply chain management.

What can you expect?

High business growth allows for steep learning curves, while multi-cultural locations offer the chance to develop a diverse business perspective. Expect to be able to leverage the rapid pace of growth to develop your career faster. You’ll find all our offices are unique. Each has its own personality and characteristics, however all our businesses are involved in community projects and campus education in one form of the other. For example, most of our senior management regularly visit campuses to share their knowledge with students.

Our graduate programme

We have graduate programmes in Pakistan, South Africa, the Middle East (UAE) and Nigeria. Different programmes have different timelines but most begin around June and July, so begin considering your application at the beginning of the year. Most of the graduates we take on are for programmes in sales and marketing, but there are also supply chain programmes in Pakistan and UAE. We focus on developing future leaders with detailed orientation programs, specific training initiatives and diverse assignments to ensure high on-job learning. This translates into extreme challenges, high exposure and fast career development. All programmes last for 12 months.
