It's not just our products which win awards: we're very proud of the way we run our business too. Thanks to the hard work of the Reckitt Benckiser teams worldwide, we're often recognised as a company for the corporate work we do, whether it's for marketing our products, achieving impressive sales figures in tough times, recruitment initiatives or internal communications.

Here's a selection of some of the ways RB has been honoured by corporate organisations.

RB is OTC's Company of the Year

RB has come out top in the Company of the Year category at the OTC Magazine Awards, which celebrate achievements in the over the counter healthcare industry. Judges highlighted RB's commitment to quality staff training and skills in promotion and advertising. One judge commented: "They have kept their eye firmly on the ball and not lost sight of the needs of pharmacy in a very challenging market."

RB scoops Best Overall Company at SMaRT Awards

SMaRT Awards logoRB has experienced success once again at the SMaRT Awards for sales, marketing and retail training. Reckitt Benckiser walked away with Best Overall Company, a fantastic achievement and an improvement on a runner-up placing in 2010. RB also won for Best Sales Force and Best Support Package. RB grabbed the top spot thanks to votes from readers of Communication International Group's pharmacy titles.

Former CEO Bart Becht wins Marketing Society award

Former CEO Bart Becht wins Marketing Society awardReckitt Benckiser's former CEO Bart Becht has been recognised by the Marketing Society for his work in turning the company into an FMCG giant. At the society's annual dinner, Bart received the award for Outstanding Leadership.

Bart headed RB from 1999 until stepping down in 2011. He was replaced by Rakesh Kapoor.

The Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) presented its 2011 “Excellence in Corporate Practice” award to Bill Mordan, Senior Vice-President & General Counsel

The Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) has presented its 2011 “Excellence in Corporate Practice” award to Bill Mordan, Senior Vice-President & General Counsel for RB.

“An invaluable asset to Reckitt Benckiser, Bill has built a strong legal department, developing a departmental structure that not only ensures worldwide compliance, but does so at costs well below the industry norm,” said ACC President & CEO Veta T. Richardson.  

Bill, who joined Reckitt Benckiser in 2003, said: "It is an honour to receive this prestigious award from ACC and to be recognized by my peers."



Reckitt Benckiser wins Gold at Digital Impact Awards


Digital Impact Awards logoReckitt Benckiser's work in enhancing its online presence was recognised at the second annual Digital Impact Awards, held in London in October 2011.

RB.com, produced with digital agency Workroom, came away with the Gold Award in its category of Corporate Website. The Digital Impact Awards is the UK’s leading awards programme to benchmark and celebrate excellence in digital communications.


RB wins Gold at Marketing Design Awards

RB's website was lucky enough to claim another gong as it won Gold at the Marketing Design Awards. The site, developed in conjunction with agency Workroom, came out on top in the digital category, in recognition of its user-friendly, engaging design.

The awards, held by Marketing magazine, aim to highlight achievements in design which help to keep brands leading and evolving.


Candidates give thumbs up to careers website & applying online

Top Employer Website AwardRB's career website and online application process have scored positively with potential candidates in research organised by Potential Park. In the Top Employer Web Benchmark (TEWeB) study, around 2,600 UK students rated over 100 career websites on categories including usability and recruiting process, and RB placed in the top half of the table.
The APOLLO study assessed the online application processes of top employers, with RB receiving a top 30 placing.

SMaRT Awards logoIt was a night of successes for RB at the 2010 SMaRT  Awards for sales, marketing and retail training. The awards acknowledge the excellence of training initiatives and support programmes provided by manufacturers to pharmacists and their staff. Among those making up the RB roll of honour:

Best Pharmacy Student Support
Brand of the Year: Nurofen
Effective Marketing Award: Lemsip "Comfy World"

RB also achieved runner up as Company of the Year and best sales force, with Lemsip coming in as runner up for the Brand of the Year and Best New Product Launch for Max Lemon Tablets.

 RB wins at Britain's Most Admired Companies Awards 2010

Britain's Most Admired Companies logoReckitt Benckiser has been named as Britain's Most Admired Company in theHealth & Household sector at Management Today's Britain's Most Admired Companies Awards 2010, the "UK's business Oscars".

Management Today said RB had been recognised for this award because of its strategies during the recession: "RB refuses to rush into budget ranges, focusing instead on premium products such as Nurofen. The strategy paid off - the company reported strong Q3 results, with sales up to 7%."

In the overall Most Admired league table, RB now ranks 27, a huge increase on coming in 63rd last year.

The awards are now in their 18th year and are based on the opinions of 200 of the UK's largest companies.

RB’s poweRBrands game wins innovation award

poweRBrands screen shotRB's exciting and successful Facebook app poweRBrands has walked away with yet another award. 

The game, which challenges players to complete tasks to see if they've got what it takes to be part of the unique culture at Reckitt Benckiser, was awarded the top prize for innovation at the RAD Awards. 

The judges praised the game for what they called "a truly unique use of social media gives great stats and massive exposure. Clever – really very clever!". 

The RAD Awards have recognised and celebrated achievements in recruitment marketing for 21 years.



RB poweRBrands game wins at National Graduate Recruitment Awards

poweRBrands, RB's successful Facebook game has won its first major award. The National Graduate Recruitment Awards saw the interactive virtual business game get the nod for Best Graduate Recruitment Marketing Campaign.

Judges commented that that RB poweRBrands submission demonstrated an innovative campaign with great visual impact. The game aims to reflect the excitement and challenges a career at RB can offer.

RB employees’ blog marked out for excellence

RB employees’ blog marked out for excellenceRB's corporate blog My RB Opportunity has been named best blog in the European Excellence Awards, fending off stiff competition.

As part of the Corporate Media section of the awards, the RB blog was singled out for its value and insight.

RB wins a Pension Scheme of the Year award

The UK Pension Scheme of the Year Awards 2010 which aims to recognise the best pension funds and managers in Britain shortlisted Reckitt Benckiser in 4 categories.

, RB, was announced as the winner of the UK Pensions Manager of the Year Award 2010.
This award acknowledges specific achievement in advancing the interests of members and occupational pension provision.
