AMEC announces new board director

AMEC plc, the international engineering and project management company, today announces that Colin Day has joined the board as a non-executive director.

Colin Day has been an Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer at Reckitt Benckiser Group plc since 2000. An FCCA, his prior experience includes senior finance roles at Aegis Group plc, ABB Group and De La Rue plc. He is currently a Non-Executive Director of WPP Group plc and has previously served on the boards of Cadbury plc and easyJet plc, amongst others.

AMEC Chairman, Jock Green-Armytage said: "Colin’s appointment adds further strength to the AMEC plc board. He brings both a depth of commercial expertise gained in his role of Chief Financial Officer and significant experience as a non-executive director for a number of different companies. This will be invaluable as AMEC embeds its Vision 2015."
