Brazil


Despite Brazil’s impressive economic growth, over 60 million children are being left behind. Many on a daily basis face poverty, poor nutrition, and inadequate housing which present huge challenges to their chances of survival and development.

RB and Save the Children are working in Pernambuco, northeast of Brazil where the need is even more evident. Our support to help 18,000 children under 5, and 8,000 women, access the maternal, infant and child health and nutrition services they need to ensure a safe birth and healthy start in life.


In 33 RB employees volunteered in June 2011 as part of the RB Global Challenge. They renovated and transformed two Save the Children crèches used by over 500 young children in Petrolina, Brazil.
