What we do

Since 2003, we have raised over £8 million for Save the Children which has funded projects in Angola, TanzaniaIndia and Brazil and has saved thousands of children's lives.

In AngolaTanzania and Brazil, the money supports health programmes which focus on babies, young children, their mothers and communities. This work is vital. Every year more than 8 million children die before their 5th birthday from illnesses that are preventable and treatable, including malaria, pneumonia, measles and diarrhoea.

Child Domestic Workers' programme

In April 2009, we announced our support for the Child Domestic Workers' programme in West Bengal, India. This project works with children, most of them girls, who have been trafficked to become domestic workers in some of the major cities in India. Taken away from their families, most of them suffer physical, mental or sexual abuse. Many suffer all three.

Children's Emergency Fund

We also support the Children's Emergency Fund. With money already in place, Save the Children can act as soon as disaster strikes, without having to appeal first. Our annual corporate donation of £100,000 means that we have helped many desperate children in emergency situations like the recent floods in South East Asia and the food crisis in East Africa.

What we're doing

As a business we raise funds in different ways including: corporate donations; large fundraising events such as the RB Global Challenge, charity golf days and group fundraising initiatives such as product sales, wine tasting, treks, auctions, raffles, dress down days and quiz nights. Many staff fundraise also choose to take up personal challenges such as running marathons or other races, swimming, or simply baking cakes.

RB Charity Golf Day

The RB Charity Golf Day raised over £140,000 last year. Hosted by the RB management team, the event is now in its 8th year and is supported by key suppliers and partners. As well as the team entry fee, money is also raised from a prize draw and a grand auction.

Pakistani Girl Dettol

'RB are literally helping us to reach children as fast as possible in emergencies, allowing us save many more lives. This support is so valuable. RB are so quick to respond and they go over and above their £100k annual commitment to the Children's Emergency Fund, giving additional support in emergencies, including both financial and product donations. The Dettol soap and liquid used in hygiene kits helps stop the spread of deadly disease and infection in the aftermath of an emergency, when children are at their most vulnerable.'
