As a company where ideas thrive, RB UK is proud to be sponsoring the award for Brand Innovator of the Year at the Marketing Week Engage Awards for 2010.
The force behind the new Engage Awards is the recognition that, while effectiveness may be the primary driver in any marketing campaign, it’s not enough in today’s fast changing environment. Brands need to truly engage consumers – to listen to and understand them.
Success at RB is driven by focused innovation and creative solutions based on clear consumer insight. RB is a firm believer in the need for a consumers-first philosophy. So working closely with Marketing Week RB came up with the new Brand Innovator of the Year award, which recognises the very best of innovation in the industry.

What are the judges looking for?
The winner of
Brand Innovator of the Year
will be an idea, product or brand that shows new thinking that has generated significant market success in a specific sector, as measured in sales, early market share and market response. It doesn’t have to be a new brand – it could be a brand extension or the rejuvenation or repositioning of an existing brand, or even an innovative marketing campaign. Last year’s winner was Dyson Airblade.

Airblade hand dryer
was conceived by
inventor James Dyson
who was sick of inefficient
hand dryers where you “put your hands under them, rub them a bit, then give up and wipe them on your trousers.”
The Dyson Airblade’s digital motor dries hands in just 10 seconds, with purified, hygienic air. It’s not only four times faster than normal hand dryers, but uses up to 80% less energy.
That’s what we call a great innovation.
