Dettol and Lysol 'most-trusted brands', says new research
RB's Powerbrands have been shown once again to lead the way following a major research project that looked at the way consumers trust major brands.
The survey, conducted jointly by Winkle and Happen, questioned consumers in the UK and US markets and focused on the subject of trust in brands and what product innovation needed to deliver to succeed in the current economic climate.
The results were fantastic for RB, with Dettol topping the list of most-trusted brands, with over 50% of UK respondents agreeing it was a brand they had confidence in, beating heavyweights such as Marks and Spencer, Google, Innocent, Coca-Cola, Ariel and Tesco to the coveted number 1 spot.
Other RB brands also scored high, with Nurofen, Airwick, Gaviscon and Harpic also appearing in the top ten.
It was good news in the US market, too, as Lysol topped the chart from a prompted list of 27 brands. Almost 60% of those asked said that Lysol was a brand they trusted, ahead of Coco-Cola, Tide, Wal-Mart, Target and a host of other household names.
